จาก 1 กุมภาฯ ถึงเมียนมาในอนาคต, จนกว่าประชาชนจะชนะ
เหตุการณ์การรัฐประหารในเมียนมาเมื่อวันที่ 1 กุมภาพันธ์ 2021 ที่ผ่านมาแล้วกว่า 2 ปี เป็นอีกหนึ่งโศกนาฎกรรมที่สะท้อนให้เห็นภาพประวัติศาสตร์ของความขัดแย้งในเมียนมาที่ฝังรากลึกมาอย่างยาวนาน กว่า 70 ปีแล้ว ที่ประชาชนในประเทศได้ยืนหยัดต่อสู้กับเผด็จการทหารเมียนมามาโดยตลอด
แม้ว่าผู้คนทุกเพศ ทุกวัย ทุกเชื้อชาติ ต่างเจ็บปวดต่อการถูกจับ ขัง ฆ่า ซ้อมทรมาน และความรุนแรงอันโหดเหี้ยมในทุกรูปแบบ กระนั้นพวกเขาก็ยังคงต่อต้านเผด็จการทหารเมียนมาอย่างกล้าหาญและไม่ยอมจำนน
เพียงเพื่อต้องการปกป้องสิทธิ เสรีภาพ และศักดิ์ศรี ของตน ซึ่งจะไม่มีวันยอมให้ใครพรากไปได้อีก
เพียงเพื่ออยากมีชีวิตที่ดีกว่าในประเทศที่พวกเขากำลังร่วมกันสร้างขึ้นมาใหม่ ประเทศที่คนเท่ากัน

ระหว่างทางของการต่อสู้เพื่ออนาคตที่สว่างไสวกว่า ทั้งในประเทศเมียนมาและไทย “คุณจะลืมพวกเราไหม” และ “เราจะไปทางไหนกันต่อดี” คือคำถามหลักของงาน Myanmar Film Nights 2023
เราได้จัดโปรแกรมภาพยนตร์ที่พาผู้ชมไปพบกับเรื่องเล่าที่มาจากเสียงต่างๆ จากใน/เกี่ยวกับประเทศเมียนมาโดยเฉพาะที่เชื่อมโยงกับการปฏิวัติครั้งล่าสุดจากผู้กำกับเมียนมาและไทย
เราหวังใจว่าเรื่องเล่าและบทสนทนานี้จะส่งเสียงแทนประชาชนเมียนมาจากในพื้นที่ และส่งเสียงดังพอที่จะชวนผู้คนได้ฉุกคิด สะท้อน ตระหนัก และสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงไปด้วยกัน ด้วยความปรารถนาดีและความเมตตาข้ามความเป็นพรมแดนและความเป็นรัฐชาติ

1st February and Onward, Until the People Win
The February 1st, 2021 coup d’état which is now 2 years passed, is one of the tragic events that reflects a long history of deep-rooted conflict in Myanmar. For over 70 years people in the country have been struggling against the Myanmar military dictatorship.
Still, people of all genders, ages, and respectively affiliated racial groups have been bravely resisting and never surrender even though they have been subjected to arrest, imprisonment, torture, murder, and all forms of atrocities and violence.
This is because they want to protect their rights, liberty, and dignity, and they will never allow it to be taken away again. They continue to struggle because they want to have a better life in a country that they are rebuilding together, a new country where people of all diversities are equal.

Along the process of people struggle for a brighter future in Myanmar and Thailand, will you forget us? and where do we go now? are the main questions of our Myanmar Film Nights 2023.
We have programmed films that explore narratives from different voices in/about Myanmar by individual and collective Myanmar and Thai filmmakers, especially those related to the recent revolution.
We hope that the stories and conversations will speak up the message from Myanmar people on the ground and speak loud enough to challenge our communities to pause, reflect, aware, and make change together with care and compassion beyond borders and nations.

ဖေဖော်ဝါရီ ၁ ရက်နေ့ မှသည် | ပြည်သူ့အောင်ပွဲ အထိ
၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် ဖေဖော်ဝါရီ ၁ ရက်နေ့ အာဏာသိမ်းမှုဖြစ်စဥ်သည် မြန်မာပြည်၏ ရှည်လျားလှစွာသော ပဋိပက္ခသမိုင်းကြောင်းကို ထင်ဟပ်နေပေသည်။ နှစ်ပေါင်း ၇၀ ကျော်တိုင်အောင် လူမျိုးစုပေါင်းစုံသည် ဗမာ့စစ်တပ်နှင့် စစ်အာဏာရှင် ဆန့်ကျင်ရေးအတွက် တိုက်ပွဲ၀င်နေကြရဆဲဖြစ်သည်။ ယခုတခါတွင်လည်း လူမျိုးစုပေါင်းစုံ၊ ကျား၊ မ၊ အသက်အရွယ်မရွေးသည် ဖမ်းဆီးနှိပ်စက်ခြင်း၊ ထောင်သွင်းအကျဥ်းချခြင်း၊ သတ်ဖြတ်ခြင်း အပါအ၀င် အကြမ်းဖက်မှုပုံစံအမျိုးမျိုးနှင့် ကြမ်းကြုတ်ရက်စက်မှုများကြားမှ ရဲဝံ့စွာ တောင့်ခံ တွန်းလှန်နေကြဆဲဖြစ်သည်။ မိမိတို့၏ အခွင့်အရေးများ၊ လွတ်လပ်ခြင်း၊ လူ့ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာ စသည်တို့ကို ကာကွယ်ချင်သည့်အတွက်သာဖြစ်ပြီး နောက်တကြိမ် ဒီလိုအဖြစ်မျိုးထပ်အဖြစ်ခံမည်လည်းမဟုတ်ပေ။ အတူတကွ ဖန်တီးထားသော သာတူညီမျှရှိသည့် လူ့အ၀န်းအဝိုင်း သို့မဟုတ် နိုင်ငံအသစ်တွင် ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်စွာ အသက်ရှင်နေထိုင်လိုသည့်အတွက် မဆုတ်မနစ် ဆက်လက် တိုက်ပွဲ၀င်နေကြရခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။

လက်ရှိတော်လှန်ရေးနဲ့ပတ်သက်လို့ မြန်မာပြည်ထဲက အမျိုးမျိုးသောအသံတွေ၊ ဇာတ်ကြောင်းတွေကို မြန်မာ နဲ့ ထိုင်းမှာရှိတဲ့ ရုပ်ရှင်ရိုက်ကူးသူတွေ တစ်ဦးချင်း/အစုအဖွဲ့အလိုက် ကြိုးစားလေ့လာ တင်ဆက်ထား ကြတဲ့ ရုပ်ရှင်ဇာတ်လမ်းတွေကို ကြည့်ရှုနိုင်ကြဖို့ စီစဥ်ထားပါသည်။
ရုပ်ရှင်တွေ ဇာတ်လမ်းတွေ နဲ့ အချင်းချင်းပြောစကားတွေကတဆင့် မြန်မာပြည်သူတွေရဲ့ သတင်းစကားတွေ ပါးပေးနိုင်ဖို့နဲ့ … တော်လှန်ရေးနဲ့ပတ်သက်လို့ ဘာတွေဖြစ်ပျက်နေတာလဲဆိုတာကို ခဏတာ ရပ်တန့်ပြီး ဆင်ခြင် သတိပြုကြည့်ကြရင်း၊ နယ်မြေနယ်နိမိတ်အပိုင်းအခြားတွေကိုကျော်လွန်တဲ့ ကရုဏာ စာနာမှုတွေနဲ့ အပြောင်းအလဲကို အတူတကွဖော်ဆောင်ကြဖို့ လူထုအသိုင်းအဝိုင်းတွေဆီ နှိုးဆော်တိုက်တွန်းသံတွေ ကျယ်ကျယ်လောင်လောင်ပျံ့နှံ့လာစေဖို့ စီစဥ်သူတွေက မျှော်လင့်ထားပါသည်။
